C-46 Cockpit
When a Boeing 747 jetliner pilot visited the China Doll, he remarked "Gee, I wish the 747's controls were this simple!" Well perhaps for him these controls seemed basic, but to the rest of us they're just a gaggle of knobs, gauges, and levers. The red brace on the control yokes is merely a device to keep the controls steady, especially when kids come in and want to "fly" the plane.
